Karl Lundeberg is one of America's leading composers of music for the theater. His first score was written for the American Repertory Theater's 1984 production of King Stag, directed by Andre Serban and Julie Taymor, co-composed with Eliot Goldenthal.

This now legendary production quickly established Karl as a composer and a large part of his work over the ensuing twenty five years has been in creating musical scores for America's most prominent theater companies. From 1997 through 2004 he served as Composer-in-Residence for the Mark Taper Forum at the Los Angeles Music Center.

Over two hundred scores have yielded a large body of recorded music, and a retrospective double album of Karl Lundeberg's theater and ballet music is in pre-production, for release in 2010.
